Love the unusual octagonal design. Naive work which adds to the sampler's charm. We have removed all the awful tacks from this sampler and hand sewn it to old linen, stretched it over acid free board, quite taut, ready for framing, which we will leave to you. This comes with a gold slip, to keep the glass from the fabric.

Febry 14 with a verse Who would not do what God ordains: And promises to bless/Who would not escape the toils and pains: Or sinful idleness the girl's name contained within flowering branches emerging from a vase, flanked by convolvulous flowers, butterflies and birds, all within a border of octagons containing flowers, using pale blue,pink, ivory, brown and dark green silks on a natural wool ground, 17 x 13 in or 44 x 34 cm.
Condition
Basically clean but with a little colour run to the red. A few moth holes which you should be able to see from the photos. Ask for more if you cannot.
