Inside the skirt is a patch with two worked buttonholes, clearly for use if the existing buttonholes became worn. Nice idea.

Quite a lot of staining and needing a good wash! The red cover on the hem of the skirt has holes to very bottom where it has rubbed the ground. Good as an example.
