Comments
What a gem! Have you ever seen anything like this before? I hesitated buying this because of the staining, but really that is all part of its history and when did I last see anything like this for sale - never! There are no darts in the frock. The slits at top of the sleeves were presumably for movement.
Condition
This looks fresh and pretty but clearly has been well worn and there are quite a lot of stains. The frock has pale and slightly darker stains centre front and lower down. The under wrap also has coffee coloured stains. The back has some coffee coloured stains centre back. A little green colour run. The trousers have milk chocolate coloured stains to the crotch area front and back and the odd mark to one side at front and extensively to back side. If you cannot see markings in photos ask for more. A conservator might be able to fade the stains a little.
