of a leopard for the son of a fifth rank military mandarin, applique to the embroidered ground and staring at the sun, mauve, pink and yellow bats flying in the sky filled with clouds, some pointed, above a lishui wave border, the dragon meander caught with rings, 9 1/2 x 8 1/2 in.

Very unusual to find badges for boy's. This is a front badge with central seam.

Condition

The applique leopard has some of the silks worn away on the base he is standing on. Two corners of the badge, left sidetop and bottom, have wear to them. Photos available if this cannot be seen on site.
