This must have been homemade by one of those leisured ladies. The top is not quite symetrical, being straight one side and rounded at the other. All adds to the charm. There is no attachment for handles, so either these were easily removed or this was unfinished.

Cataloguing

reticule, the natural fibre with different patterns, the foldover top secured with a button, the base with fringing, 7 1/2 in or 19 cm.

Condition

Very good. The fringe at the base is slightly untidy.
