I have not seen a wallet made for the tourist/export market by American Indians. An unusual example .From the Eastern United States Great Lakes area known as 'Northeastern Woodlands'. The style of design is known as the Niagara floral style.
the dark brown velvet applied with opaque and clear glass beads in shades of red, blue, green, saffron and white, with a bird in flight amongst stylised flowers and leaves, the interior of snuff coloured silk and glazed cotton, hook and eye fastening, folded 2 3/4 x 4 in; 7 x 10 cm wide, open 3 3/4 x 7 in; 10 x18 cm
A few of the inner complete beaded line of white beads has quite a few beads missing. The ouiter triple beaded edge is fine. The silk inner lower pocket needs a few stitches. The top silk inner flap has a couple of splits.
