Probably German and made in Italy by E. Copp & Co, with a 15/16th c. design, the yellow background with chestnut coloured cut and uncut velvet huge ogival design with a central flower head surrounded by leaves with flower filled shells, selvage to selvage 7ft 5 in. x 27 31 in., pattern repeat

Fabulous quality. Very nice colouring. This has a gold ground. The photo of the length of fabric is more accurate than the close up.

Condition

There are vertical splits here and there throughout the piece. Suitable for archive. Could be hung on the wall because the splits are hardly noticeable.
