Description

with a green/blue huge flowers and leaf pattern, with twelve gold pierced buttons, the buttonholes embroidered in yellow silk, shaped pocket flaps, the back of glazed natural linen with lacing holes embroidered in green silk, the front two side panels, one lined with green silk , the other with a diaper patterned glazed cotton, the back lined with green silk, all interlined with loosely woven wool, longest length 32 1/2 in or 83 cm; underarm 37 in or 96 cm

Condition

In remarkably good condition. You should be able to see a little wear to the left hand side of the waistcoat, round the neck and also to the armhole. There is very very slight fading underarm to this side which is really hardly noticeable. The buttonholes are very crudely stitched. The right hand side on the button side of the pocket there is a horizontal split which has been badly repaired and could be improved upon. There is also a small split below the centre of that pocket. Ask for photos. The lining is quite damaged so ask for photos. The back neck lining needs a few stiches.
