Lovely print and colours. Thomas Bell in 1783 took out a patent for a way of printing from engraved metal rollers. From the 1790's roller printing was used by Lancashire mills to produce dress fabrics. To start with only minute dotted pattern grounds could be achieved, but gradually larger patterns were designed. Condition

The sleeve ends are have some damage. Ask for photos. Couple of small holes to back bodice. The front panel has two horizontal joins of fabric, but I think these are original, the maker being economical. Half a dozen small holes to front skirt and a larger one to back. Photos available.
