French Woven Needlecase

This little wallet would be a great addition to a collection. The outside woven detail is very fine and with two hand painted inside scenes.

Description

of mid blue ribbed silk and silver thread depicting two deer under an oak tree with a church in the distnce, the other side with the flap over depicting a church flanked by trees, opening  to reveal a hand painted scene to each end, one with a church within an enclose, a tree and a river, to the side a sword through a small pink heart, the other end with a fisherman, his line across his shoulder walking over a bridge, in leafy surroundings, a distant town and a windmill, the inside leaves of paper and red wool with embroidered silver gilt edging, 2 1/2 x 3 1/4 in or

Condition

Very good apart from some splits to the inner spine of one painted picture.. The picture is not damaged. Ask for photos.
