bed border, probably from Cyclades or Ionian islands, worked in red silks on linen ground with a stylised design of flowerheads and double headed eagles, a narrow top border of stylised flowers, 7 in; 18 cm deep with a line of drawn threadwork bound with thick linen thread, the edge with small sewn on silk tassels in neutral shades, 18 in x 5ft 8 in; 48 cm x1.78 m
