embroidered in very fine petit point silks of rounded shape with thick taupe coloured drawstring and crochet top, tassel to base, the scene of a red coated horseman accompanied by three blue jacketed horseman and one woman, together with a black jacketed horseman all galloping in the countryside accompanied by a hound, the top with acorn branches intertwined, the base with acorn sprays, all on a natural silk gauze ground, 13 in; 33 cm top to end of tassel.

Delightful, unusual example. This has been embroidered on 24 holes to the inch silk gauze.

Condition

Very very good. When you look at the colours inside it is obvious that there is slight even fading to the outside, but this is not very obvious.
