the crimson silk ground worked with leafy C scrolls containing exotic flowers including crown imperial, jonquils, tulips all beautfully embroidered in shades of yellow, blue, pink, green floss silks, crimson fringing 6 ft 8 in x 4 ft 9 in. backed with crimson cotton

Marvellous, fantastic decorative hanging in beautiful colours.

Condition

The original backing on this pieces was very very badly damaged so we have cut and re-applied onto 18th c. silk, which is strong as well as a beautiful shade. Lovely clear bright colours. If you go into the photo you will see some of the silks have gone, due to wear but the overall impression is very good. More detailed photos available if required. There is a detail on the site of the crown imperial flower, which is the most worn area.
