The number of beautiful colours used for this shawl (8) would have made it a more expensive example of a printed shawl11ft 6 in x 5ft 8 in; 3.5 x 1.73 m,
silk, each end with huge elegant slanting pines filled with and surrounded by flowers and foliage and emerging onto the ivory central field, all in rich shades of deep pink, pale pink, maroon, electric blue, turquoise, sage green, ochre on a rich ivory silk ground, silk fringing to opposing ends.
Very good. The silky ground is of a stronger quality than the silk gauze leno shawls which are so very fragile. It almost appears knitted but of course is woven.
