A fresh looking pretty shawl with delicate design. Fold over shawls had the borders and fringing hand sewn, with two borders sewn back to front. When the shawl was worn in a triangle the border could be seen on all four sides. In the Norwich Shawl book there are no early shawls like this, yet I am sure it is from there.

Condition

Excellent. There are two minor darkish marks, the side of a plastic headed pin, and a slight yellowish marking where it has been folded, but this hardly shows, only when held up to the light.
