The embroideries of Eastern Europe were very influential during this period. This delightful dress is both collectable and wearable. It woudl have been worn very loose. There are no seams in the bodice.
The pale blue linen with V neck and short sleeves, a little white cotton embroidery to the neck and sleeve edges, the gathered skirt with two large flowerheads below the dropped waist, dense embroidery with an Eastern European look to the lower front panels, the back with just smaller flowerheads.
shoulder to hem 49 in; 1.25 cm.
Underarm 42 in; 1.07 m
Very good.
