Polonaise Gown
c 1770-80

The first photo is the correct colour. Plain silk dresses are difficult to find because they were less treasured than a patterned brocade or damask dress. Almost a duck egg blue. Unusual having original tape ties. This would have been worn with a fichu, sleeve ruffles, same fabric petticoat or a quilted one and a fine muslin apron. We took photos in bright sunshine which hs distorted the collar of some of the photos. The second photo is the closest in colour. It is a true blue no green in it. Ask for more photos. I'm getting a new camera next week so photos should be better in future.
