Hendrikje Bag Museum Bags Amstelveen, The Netherlands p 84 for similar. Foster, Vanda Bags and Purses p 45 for reference to ribbonwork. This would probably have been handmade by the owner. She clearly had an artistic eye.

Condition

Very good. The stamens of the fushia need catching down on one side. The inner pink silk has faded at the top. The pull ties of silk ribbon are frayed.
