Description

two piece in a red in alternating small blue and green squares, the blue with leaves, with ochre lines between the squares, all on a red ground, the large scoop neck with drawstring and front closure, the bodice with horizontal seam under the bust, ties starting at sides for front fastening, cord rouleau trim to neck, the long sleeves slightly gathered at the shoulder and slightly flaring at the hands, one with a tie decoration, the back with seams from the shoulders to the centre high back seam, three same fabric covered buttons above pleating, further pleating to back of bodice, the inside with a indigo check linen lining and bust covering, the sleeves with a paler smaller check lining, shoulder to front hem 19 in or 49 cm.; the skirt with gathered front sides and all the back, an indigo check waistband, two brass hooks to the front sides and five brass eyes to the back, two side slits lined with green linen tape, waist 2ft 4 in or 70 cm; length 3ft 2 in or 98 cm

Condition

One cuff tie is missing. There is enough material inside the waistband to make this. The front left bodice, as you look at it, below the horizontal line has been tornto 2 1/2 in or 6 cm. Easily repaired with fabric from waistband. Ask for photos. A little tear to front near waistband which can easily be repaired. A few very small holes to skirt.
