drawloom woven twill weave silk centre, the deep end borders of wool and silk filled with eight gently curving tipped pines their centres filled with stylised flowers in shades of blue and red, surrounded by delicate foliage, the guard stripes with a flower scallop, all below some gently curving smaller pines facing the opposite direction, 8ft 7 in x 4 ft 2 in or 2.62 x 1.27 m

Lovely colours and design. A beautiful shawl and quite strong.
Condition
Very good apart from slight slight markings to central field. There are some light brown streaks near one end totalling 2 x 1/4 in. One border has a small tear (repairable) and darn. Another very small darn to the very edge of the cream silk centre and a few minute holes near one end. The second long border has a minute hole .
