Late 19th c

of ivory silk satin finely embroidered with pairs of shaded green and mauve birds flitting amongst peonies, prunus & narsissi, edged with a small repeat flower motif, all in clear floss silks in shades of red, green, blue, taupe and mauve , actual embroidery 19 1/2 in; 50 cm long x 3 1/2 in; 9.5 cm wide.

There are nine shades of green on these bands. Very fine quality and charming subject.

Condition

Excellent. Of course where they were folded for original use there is very slightly grubbiness and the marks will not come out with cleaning. For framing a mount would be made.
