of yellow changeable twill weave silk, the ends 12 in deep woven with six slanting parrot tulips between other flowers ? all in shades of soft red, lemon yellow, soft coral, ivory, the leaves of soft green and mauve, above scallops of mauve daisy type flowers and yellow flower sprays, the upper guard stripe with pointed cuckoo pint leaves, the lower with stylised flowerheads between sprays of small flowers, the side and end borders woven in coral and green stripes, short ivory silk fringe, 31 1/2in; 80 cm x 8ft 6 in; 2.6 m

Really, really beautiful both in colouring and design. One of the nicest I have handled. The reverse of the shawl is stronger lemony yellow. I am very sure that the front has not faded but to give the changeable silk effect the back is often stronger. Hope that makes sense.
