Sleeve Ruffle,
1760's
If you can't afford a complete 18th century dress what nicer than to have a lovely fragment. This would look good framed.
Cataloguing
of silk brocade in silks and chenille on ivory finely striped and ribbed satin, all in shades of pink, aubergine, gold, mid blue and green silks, with flys or tufts of silk to the side sewn to a looped silk edging braid, 15 in or 37 cm long top edge.
Condition
Very good. Creases. The fly braid has some later black cotton. Assume it came off and has been re applied. This could be improved but easy enough to unstitch and re do.
