It is interesting to see the drawing on this piece. Yellow muga silk from Dacca, Bengal, India was a very popular colour in the early 18th century.
the natural linen embroidered in muga silk in back stitch with small scrolls design interspered with large arching stems bearing large flowers and leaves and smaller flower sprays, embroidered in bright yellow and rust twisted silks, some with speckled leaves, all on a natural fine linen ground, 16 x 26 in/40 x 67 cm.
Very good. There is one ink mark at centre top which is from the original drawing on the fabric.
