Walter Crane style

These were probably designed by one of Crane's pupils. The drawing is exquisite. I know these all have marks on but you have to admit they are extremely appealing. Could you live with damage? Selling all together.

six hand painted silk organza mats Honeysuckle, the girl poised with arms swaying over her flower adorned head, with a skirt made from flower heads, her shoes of green tied with ribbons, all in shades of green, yellow and pink. Iris, the young woman with an iris dress holding her arms a flower, in all in shades of mauve, pink and green. Holly, the young man dressed in green with a holly leaf hooded collar, his legs with holly as if boots and with upturned holly shoes, his right hand holding a horn cup, in green red and pink. Blackberry, the young woman dressed in leaves and with a skirt painted with the fruit, holding briars, a basket at her mauve clad shoes, full of fruit, in shades of pale blue, green, mauve and pink. Siddecia, a young boy in an armour of the leaves of the flower, holding the flower stem, as if a banner, all n shades of pale blue, green, pink and yellow. Cow Parsley, the young man with a dress made from the plant and leafy fronds on his head and as wings, all in soft green and pink shades. all mats each 9 x 6 1/2 in or 23 x 17 cm

Condition

Honeysuckle. There is a mid brown spot to this piece and some light brown markings on the extreme left hand middle side. Iris: Brown markings to her dress and one lower near the train. Holly: Some light brown markings to the right hand side and a few specks to the lower area. Blackberry: A few small brown marks to the left of her skirt. A dark mark at the base, which could be hidden with a mount. Siddecia: A stain to his knee. Ask for detailed photographs.
