Whitework Spencer
c 1820

This is a really wonderful spencer.

Cataloguing

for a young girl, with deep collar and front closure trimmed with three pleats and buttonhole embroidered edging, with centre holes also buttonhole edged, darts to bust and the waist with two rows of twisted linen cord, the puff sleeves gathered into a long sleeve, the puffs with three buttohole edged vandyke sections, each caught down by a Dorest button, the long narrowing sleeve edged with three rows of tucks and similar edging and with a loose gathered cuff of three vandykes with drawstring.

Condition

Very good. A few very feint light brown marks. One to the front near cording and one to back near cording. It is a nice creamy colour so a careful wash would be good.
