of deep rectangular form, covered in blue glazed cotton, the four ends embroidered with pairs of egrets, deer, butterflies and bats in shades of ivory, aquamarine and peach, 16 x 7 x 4 in d, together with a pink cotton cover with frilled ends.

Comments

I have not seen any pillows before so this is a very interesting and unusual item. Women would use these to raise their heads from the ground, protecting their elaborate hairdos.

Condition

Very good. The pink cover has some stains and could do with a good wash.
