Unusual Embroidered Dress

A charming coloured embroidered sprig trained dress with puffs on the cuffs for added interest. By candlelight the sprigs would have looked silver.

Description

The very fine muslin embroidered with black, white and brown small flower sprigs in a repeating pattern, the bodice with scooped neck and high waist, gently gathered centre front with a vertical line of white tape inside the bodice, the back bodice with inset sleeves, drawstring neck and waist, the trained skirt with tight gathering from back sides to centre back, the long sleeves with three puffs between rouleau trims, three Dorset buttons to each cuff.

Front shoulder to hem 48 in; 1.22 m

Back 55 in; 1.4 m

Condition

Very very good. There are a few darns  .The front skirt panel has a darn 1 cm to lower skirt front and a light brown stain of similar size.  There are about six very very pale brown marks to the back of the dress, the largest is 1 in or 2.5 cm round.  Ask for photos.
