Five Hedgehog Mats
1880s


I feel fairly sure that the designer of these mats was also a book illustrator, but so far have not been able to find out who he/she was. Each mat is numbered II, III , IV, V, VI (no. 1 is missing). Originally they were dessert mats. These would look good framed.
