Tree of Life Panel
early 18th c
This is fantastic! Strong wonderful colours and design. The backing was gathered up and very damaged, torn, darned etc. and there was really no alternative but to cut out and re-apply to a ground as close to original as possible. This is a splendid piece for a decorative hanging. Conversation starter. We have left enough ground fabric around the piece for it to be put on a stretcher or made into a hanging.
