for an eighth rank official mandarin, with velvet brim and satin crown, the top segmented, the button holder ornate brass with a hook, a "jade" but glass peacock holder, red silk twisted tassels


Condition

Very good. . There is slight wear to the very top brim but no at all noticeable. See it from above. The black segmented satin has a little wear but again when covered by the red tassels, not at all noticeable. Lined with pink cotton which has faded in parts to soft orange. orginal ties, one shorter, in fact the end is one the other side. 'Jade' peacock feather holder I assume broken as it is uneven. The hook is bent but could be straightened to hold a button.
