Mackenzie, Althea Shoes and Slippers from Snowshill p62 O'Keefe, Linda Shoes p141 Made from hatmakers straw. These would have been house shoes. These were made with no left or right foot.

made from woven and plaited straw with two rows of circles containing bands of crin embroidered with straw work, with squarish toes and a straw work ribbon trim, lined in scarlet silk which is also used for the bow, straight brown leather soles, side joins, 9 1/2 in; 24 cm


Condition


At first glance they appear to be in very good condition. On closer inspection the shoes have damage to the back section. See photos.
