of indigo satin embroidered in four sections (see below) the top (which falls over the chair back) with a bat below a jui sceptre flanked by peonies, the largest embroidered panel (where the back rests) with an archaic vase on a vegetal stand with peonies and prunus blossoms, surrounded by small vessels including an incence burner, a vase of implements, a containing with narcissus plants, the seat section with a central flower with butterflies at corners, the lower section ( where legs rest against the chair) with a vase of peonies flanked by vases of chrysanthums and pines, all finely worked in shades of blue, ivory, yellow and green silks with touches of apricot, some Pekin knots, gold wrapped silk thread for the couched areas, lined with soft pink cotton, 5ft 8in x 17 1/2 in; 1.74 x 45 cm


Condition


One is mint, the other has three small water marks and a couple of very feint markings. Once mounted and hung I really think the marks would hardly show, one would be so over powered by the beauty of the design and embroidery.
