Manchu Shoes

Raised Manchu shoes are difficult to find. Manchu women did not bind their feet but wore stilted shoes in a variety of shapes.
Cataloguing
of acid green silk satin embroidered with prunus blossom in pink and white, the toe and heel applied with jui shapes of black velvet edged with royal blue embroidery, the top similar, the front with a shou good luck symbol, lined with cotton, the soles of light wood covered with cotton and hand stitched, the soles quilted, 4 3/4 in; 12 cm high; 8 1/2 in; 22 cm toe to heel.
Condition
Very good apart from the silk round the top of the shoe is very worn. There is also a little wear to the silk above the sole.
