Cataloguing

cotton machine knitted, small label printed in red Liberty Bodice Trade Mark regd design and numbers, the wrap around bodice with tape ties to the front, to secure to the back, cotton tape trim to arm holes and back. width 8 in or 21cm; length 8.5 in or 22cm,


Condition

Good. One tiny stain on the back and a little discolouration at the back of the neck. A little loose stitching at the lower front curve and the back neck.


Comments

They had been making adult corsertry in the late 19th c and developed this simple warm but non constricting under garment for boys and girls. It allowed the wearer great freedom of movement was advertised for sport and was recommended as warm, comfotable and health-giving.
