These are quite beautifully made, both embroidered and plain stitching. It is unusual to find the attachment on braces. A great Christmas present.
Cataloguing
minutely embroidered in tent stitch with stylised flowers and leaves in shades of rust, pink, blue, yellow and green silks on a natural fine mesh ground, edged with blue silk with a ric rac stich, the front end attachments of ivory silk and elastic, the back attachments similar but with steel buckles and fastened to small bone buttons to a central inverted ^ piece, the backs of ivory silk with some ivory kid round the backs of the buttonholes, 2 1/4 x 31 in or 5.5 x 79 cm
Condition
The embroidery is very good, just one slight pale ivory mark to one side of the silk. The front attachments have a few slight tan coloured markings. The elastic has some light brown marks. The backs have a few light markings. Ask for photos.
