mid 1930's

A very interesting and rare piece with the  Cryséde label. An untypical Cryséde design.

Cataloguing

labelled Pure silk Manufacturers Crysede, St Ives, Cornwall, of heavy silk printed with large orange and green circles in two sizes, the top with inverted v's to the shoulders and between the bust, fastened to the shorts by green buttons on a horizontally machine stitched waistband, the shorts with five buttons front opening and curved pockets to each side, the back top with straight cut.

I would say this was a UK size 14 but for a gal with a more generous bust.

Bust: measures 42 in; 1.05 m

Waist: 36 in; 92 cm

Hips: 42 in; 1.05m

Shoulder to hem 3ft or 90 cm.

Front V to hem 28 in; 71 cm.

Condition

Excellent. One button is missing from the back and another from the right hand side, as you look at the piece. The short section at the front has 5 buttons with the one on the waistband being different. It may be possible to buy 3 similar buttons for a button specialist, otherwise I would move buttons from the back so they are consistent and have slightly different to the back.
