Ivory Embroidered Shawl
Mid 19th c

It is always difficult taking photos of ivory or white items. They usually come out dingy. This shawl is beautiful ivory shade and was embroidered in Canton, China for the export market.  This type of shawl tends to be bought for wearing, but would look very good on a table. It's a stunner.
