Alexander Morton ?
Late 19th c

I am not absolutely sure this is Morton's, but it is certainly the type of quality of woven fabric they produced.  A thick upholstery weight fabric woven with gold flattened strips.

Cataloguing

Woven with a Persian influenced design of vases of stylised flowers between vases containing pyramidal trees, in red and gold on a mid blue ground, cotton and flat gold strips,

9 ft 4 in x 2.8 m long x 46 1/2 in/ 1.18 cm wide, one selvedge.

Condition

This would have been a 48 in width fabric. The left hand selvedge has been removed. I am not sure if there is a fault in the weave but the blue fabric has little folds all over it.
