Leek Embroidery
Late 19th c

This piece was hand block printed by Thomas Wardle & Co for Liberty but also used by the Leek society. We think this piece was sold at Liberty's as a kit with the silk and silver wrapped silk thread for the amateur needlewoman. The embroidery is of a good quality.

Excellent condition. The piece has clearly been cut to the bottom edge. The other three edges have the printed design in ink showing.
