Now I do not know if this was produced in Cordoba, Spain, but it is the sort of leather they were making from the 17th century. There was again vogue for leather on dining room walls in the 19th century. This has a Puginesque look to my eye.
Stiff leather stamped with large repeat in red, gold and silver, 40 x 13 3/4 in; 1 m x 35 cm widest
You should be able to see the horizontal tear and the damage to the sides. I can provide detailed photos.
