I can count at least seven different drawnwork fillings, but there are probably more.
The triangular fichu with three bands of work meandering round two sides, a large flowerhead to the centre back, above six pointed petal flowerhead all with drawnwork, surrounded by whitework cotton embroidered flowers, with different flowerheads to the sides, all on fine muslin ground, the second band with smaller flower meander, again with some larger flowers filled with drawnwork, the outer scalloped edge with smaller flowers all with drawnwork, the infill on each of the second and third bands is of fine drawnwork, a gently scalloped top edge, all on plain fine muslin
4ft ;1.25 m top; 30 in;76 cm sides.
Excellent. Very fresh. There are three minute rust marks to the left hand side and a light ochre mark 50 cm dia.
