This furnishing length could be used on either side. The underside glows with the gold. Good for a designer but too frail to be used for upholstery.  It could be simply and easily backed to give it support and the splits eased together. We can do this for you if you wish.

Description

A curvilinear lattice of leaf and acorn borders, enclosing two type of pomegrantes , one flanked by small pinks or carnations, woven in gold coloured silk on a crimson brocatelle ground.

 5ft 5 in x 20 1/2 in; 1.65  x 52 cm

Pattern repeats are 11 and 12 in; 28 and 30 cm.

Condition

There are some 4 1/2 in; 12 cm horizontal split to the left hand side 20 in; 50 cm from the top. Braid must have been applied to the length of the piece on the right hand side, and one can see a slight line. There is another 2 1/2 in; 6 cm split 20 in; 50 cm from the bottom on the right hand side.
