Ladies Leather Over Clog
1760s

Only one but very unusual because there is space for the thick heel to be accomodated. This would have been worn by an upper class lady. I'm pretty sure the latches were dark brown velvet which has almost completely worn.

Description

Dark brown leather with raised instep, the dark brown velvet latches with eyelet holes, lined in brown wool, beige silk ribbon ties, decorative ivory stitching to sides, indented space for a heel, leather soles, 8 in; 20 cm.

Condition

The brown velvet on latches has almost completely worn away. I think the silk ribbon is original. There are a few insect holes to the latches.  The inside and exterior sole is worn. Ask for more photos.
