Norwich, England was famous for its woven textiles produced from local sheep.  This type of cloth was woven in the small town of Worsted 13 miles (21 km) north of Norwich.

Great colour and weave. Unwashed and still has the glaze.

Description

A length of vermillion glazed worsted wool.

Width 27 in; 68.5 cm selvedge to selvedge

Length 4ft 10 in; 1.45 m

 

 

 

Condition

Scattered moth holes to half of the fabric as well as a munched area of 3 cm x .5. The other half has a few moth holes.
