Portuguese Embroidered Tablecover
Early 19th c

This extraordinary cover is quite fantastic. It is embroidered with horsehair!   The colours are beautiful and the technique intriguing. Have you come across this before? I would love to hear from you if you have. I have had reticules and hats with horse hair in the past, but nothing as large as this.
