Description

The front with a deer prancing below a tree filled with fruit and perching birds, silk and silver gilt woven in dark green, mid green, yellow, light brown and neutral with touches of red, within a rose bud border, the flap with five stylised deer stanidng in a row facing left, the back with a garden with two birds sitting amongst hillocks with a rose tree and two other trees, all below another smaller garden with a castle, trees and a small deer, the whole edged with silver gilt plaited wire, the four compartments lined with pink silk.

6 x 4 1/4 in; 15 x 11 cm

Condition

A little tarnished round the edges. The inside flap has the silk coming away to reveal the card lining.  This needs some conservation. It has also changed colour from the pink to an ivory.
