This is very like an Antony Berrus designed shawl, but it has a fake Kashmir signature to the centre, Does anyone have any ideas? The quality is superb, the weave very tight and the design stunning.
the black a pivot slanting centre surrounded by elegant elongated and narrow interlocking pines with a white C scroll and foliate frame, a wide border with slanting Islamic shapes and further pines, the outer border of cusped arches, medallions, all in red, orange, yellow, green, aubegine, turquoise, pink, black, white, woven in wool and silk, silk fringe,12ft x 64 1/2 in/ 3.65 m x 1.65 m
Fantastic. There is one pin head hole to black centre and about another eight to main body of the shawl, which of course cannot be seen until held to the light.
