The cuff frills are delightful as is the shoulder seaming. Extremely fine sewing.
Of fine linen, high neck secured by two Dorset buttons, the shoulders with small inserted triangles and with an inserted narrow shoulder length from collar to shoulder, the sleeves tightly pleated above a large triangular gusset, large sleeve caught into a narrow band cuff, two buttonholes, deep fine cotton frilled cuff and frill running up the sleeve, the full body with gussets to lower skirts, the left embroidered in blue cotton with 8/H.
Very good. A good wash would freshen it. The front opening has a small 3 cm deep split. This could be easily conserved and would hardly show. There is a small feint mark 1 cm long, to the right hand chest area, as you look at the shirt. The left hand side has two pairs of small holes, the lower shirt fronthas a similar hole surrounded by slight wear, 1.5 cm.
