The lady who wore this must have looked stunning. the frilled trim is very unusual.


Cataloguing

With scooped neck, the front sections with drawstring (now sewn down) curved elbow length sleeves, pleated cuffs, pinked trim to he lower bodice, the back bodice with pleating from central neck to pointed waist, the long trained skirt pleated, pocket slits, lined with lined, double central boning.



The hem 7ft 1 in; 216 cm. Brown selvedges.

Condition

Sleeves altered at some stage but original seam line is present. Centre back seam has been resewn. The skirt at some time has been repositioned. There is a 5 x 4 cm slight stain on the lower front curve. The hem has been pieced but that was originally done. A small pencil end hole to the skirt.
